🌎 Coffees of the World 10 origins on the coffee belt

Coffees of the World: discover where exceptional coffee comes from, and what to try at home

Explore the world’s great coffee origins on the map below. Open any origin to see what its coffees are known for, which growing regions to look for on the bag, and — where we have found listings that document where the coffee came from — a bag you can brew at home. Origin is a starting point, not a guarantee of flavour.

About this map

Ten origins the specialty-coffee trade returns to again and again. Each origin’s description is quoted from the National Coffee Association and dated; growing regions are geography. Coffees appear under “Coffees to try” only when the listing documents where the coffee came from — a named region, producer or lot — and we are adding them one origin at a time; we have not tasted them and nothing here is scored. New to reading origins? Start with how roast, process and origin change the cup, or read all ten origins in one place.
